Sneaking out secretly. Serial part 8

Liefje is a very communitive cat she communicate with us the whole day. She makes soft reassuring sounds: ’prrrr, prrrr” meaning good morning or hello. When she  prrrrs’ we know that she agrees with us and approves whatever we are doing.

Fortunately she often “prrrrs” so we are all happy and content.

This is her first litter and she does not want to delegate, no she takes her duties seriously. She keeps a close eye on us and her babies, observing all our movements. She is a proud mother and loves to get attention but she certainly does not like interference. Although this is her first litter she her instinctly knows the best and our  meddling is not welcomed at all. We have to pay attention that our intervention is not moving in the wrong direction. Fortunately Liefje clarifies that immediately by loudly meowing.  We have to communicate softly and using reassuring words she already knows while explaining every move to her, singing for her works. Nevertheless she observes us like an eagle.

It is important to get a her agreement for feeding her son, that was a big problem this week. They both express their disapproval in a loud voice, making me very nervous. Taking her son in the kitchen was a very bad idea, because Liefje got very angry jumping against the door. Her screaming son makes it all worse. We both have to compromise; I waited until her son meows to express his frustration and when he does I put the bottle teat in his widely opened  mouth.
Bottle feeding him is necessary and he is gaining weight every day. All’s well.

Liefjes son is an active little kitten, his sister is more laid back. While she is enjoying her mother’s care, he tries to get away as often as he can. He has to sneak out secretly and he often succeeds.

He is very interested and as soon as he hears us coming he reacts, so understandably he wants to find out more. His is very motivated but his short undertakings are still very exhausting fortunately he falls asleep easily.

                                                         All's well again.
