In this blog I like to introduce Jazzy Jazz to you. Jazzy is a Seal Lynx pointed Bengal cat and she is a charming cat. She is an elegant lady dressed in a soft velvety white coat embellished with light brown embroideries. Jazzy does not walk, she moves like a ballerina in Swan Lake.

Jazzy has mesmerising blue eyes, blue like a summers’ sky. She is able to do magic with those eyes, with people and cats. Jazzy can seduce you with those baby blues and get what she wants. But she is a Bengal, a cat and therefor a predator with the eyes of a killer. Fortunately only frogs, fish and insects see those killers eyes and only for a very short time.

Jazzy is a fierce hunter and she has vast hunting grounds: all rooms in our house, the whole garden, in the pond and all the ceilings. She likes to hunt the ceiling together with Ivan, although she is an accomplished climber, she only is able to reach the ceiling with the help of Ivan. Both like hunting the ceiling in summer.

In the garden she is a happy Bengal, she blast off into the garden as soon as the kitchen door opens. Firstly she examines her territory because there is always something happening in her territory. Walking her examining rounds take a long time, because Jazzy is easy distracted. When she has not found any prey, she chooses a high location with the sole purpose of controlling her grounds. That’s what she likes us to believe; in reality it is time for relaxation in the sun.

Christmas is the peak hunting season for Jazzy, then she is a  preoccupied Bengal. The Christmas hunt starts as soon as the boxes are piling up in the living room. She is agitated, jumpy and nervous and calling upon her people to press on to unpack the boxes. Of course she is prepared to lend a paw unpacking those boxes.
When the boxes are opened, hustling paper attract the attention of the other Bengals and they join the hunt. Jazzy is not happy at all with the presence of the others, but she tolerates them.
Enthusiastically and eagerly Jazzy looks at every ornament, waiting for the little birds in exited anticipation.
Hours later we have our Christmas tree and Jazzy her vertical Christmas hunting ground.

Try a bit of folly and a lot of happiness to day

                      Love Conny
